College counseling & advising, Simplified
Equip your staff with holistic student profiles and simplify their workflow. Give your counselors information they need to improve reommendation letters, and advisors the additional context needed for course selection and academic rigor planning.

Your counselors and advisors are Understaffed
The average ratio of high school advisors to students in the US is 1-to-372. Counselors and advisors are often the student's first window into the world of college, but they don’t have time to tend to each student. With traditional methods, it's almost impossible to connect to every student the way they need, and help them build competitive applications.

Frequently
Asked Questions
What is My College Activities?
My College Activities is a student-driven platform that helps students document their experiences and prepare clearer college application materials. Guided activity inputs also support a brag sheet and resume, giving school counselors more context about the students they serve.
How does it help our counseling office?
Gathering meaningful student information takes time, especially when counselors support large caseloads. My College Activities helps students organize their responsibilities, leadership, contributions, and experiences before meeting with their counselor, supporting more informed conversations and fewer last-minute requests for missing details.
How can it support counselor recommendations and school reports?
A student’s transcript tells only part of the story. Their shared brag sheet and resume can provide examples of commitment, growth, and contributions beyond the classroom. Counselors can use that context alongside school records and their own knowledge when preparing recommendations and reports.
Why should students start their brag sheets early?
Starting early gives students time to remember meaningful details and gives counselors time to ask follow-up questions. Students should follow their school’s deadlines for sharing materials and requesting recommendations.
Will this create more work for our staff?
The guided work begins with the student. Students answer questions and develop their materials, allowing staff to focus their review on clarification, feedback, and next steps. Schools can introduce it through an existing counseling meeting or student assignment.
How is it different from a static brag sheet?
A static form asks students to know what to say. My College Activities helps them discover what to include through guided choices and targeted questions. Their activity work contributes to both their brag sheet and resume, reducing repeated information entry.
Can students use it throughout high school?
Yes. Students can record activities and reflections as they go, building a record of their interests, responsibilities, and growth. By senior year, they have more to draw from than memory alone.
Does it help students who aren’t club leaders or varsity athletes?
Yes. Meaningful experiences include paid employment, caring for family members, independent projects, and community involvement. The guided process helps students recognize and explain contributions that may not come with a formal title.
How does My College Activities support our school’s counseling and advising structure?
Every school works differently. Counseling, advising, and administrative responsibilities may be shared among several staff members or handled by one person. Role-based permissions are designed to align access with school-assigned responsibilities and legitimate educational interests. A staff member’s title alone does not grant access to all student information. Our advisor feature will help authorized staff work with students to plan courses, create class schedules, and hold meetings, with notifications supporting follow-up. Access to student information, including meeting details, should remain limited to what each staff member needs for their assigned responsibilities, consistent with school policy and applicable FERPA requirements.
Who can see a student’s information?
School staff access is based on authorized responsibilities, role-based permissions, and a legitimate educational interest in the information. Sharing choices apply where appropriate; access must also follow school policy and applicable privacy requirements. My College Activities does not sell student data or make student records available to colleges.
Does My College Activities submit applications or recommendations?
No. Students submit applications through the appropriate application platforms. Counselors and recommenders continue using their school’s established submission process. My College Activities helps prepare the student information and materials that support that work.
How can our school explore whether it is a good fit?
Contact us to discuss your counseling workflow, student needs, and plans for introducing the platform. Students can also try one activity for free to see how their input begins building an application description and brag sheet.
